#MCITMondays: Manage RDS Details, Uers/Groups & Desktop Collections

By Rob Waggoner

Happy Monday! Last week, we've learned how to create an RDS deployment in less than 5 minutes. This week, we'll come back to that deployment and explore its management capabilities. This video will show you how to access your RDS session, manage virtual machines, users/groups and customize your first Desktop collection.

Details Pane

The Details Pane gives you a quick overview of your RDS deployment, such as the Web URL to access the remote sessions, the number of virtual machines, the number of users/groups. It also provides quick access to Office 365 integration, the Schedule. Backups, Monitoring, and Domains.

Virtual Machines

Get an overview of all the virtual machines used in the deployment. You can quickly increase or decrease the sizes of your virtual machines based on avaialble options. Just point and click, the MyCloudIT will handle all the steps behind the scene.

Users/Groups

Add new users and assign them to the correct group one by one using our Users/Groups feature. We'll save Office 365 integration, the quickest way to update all users in your Office 365 Active Directory to your deployment, in the video next week.

Desktop Collections

Desktop collections give your end-users full access to their remote desktop with the feel and look of a local computer. Users can open multiple apps at the same time and have them interact with one another, which is different from RemoteApp collections.
